This is a book about people who have made their mark on Irish Equestrianism in the course of the fifty years which the author has been involved in the world of the Irish Horse.

The people profiled are drawn mainly from showjumping but there are stars of other disciplines as well, eventing, showing, some from racing.

Almost all of them have been personally known to the author, and indeed they are not strangers to the wider public.

Many of the subjects have gone to their reward but there are younger stars featured here also who will in the fullness of time be deservedly marked out as future champions in their own right.

All are people who have done their bit to propel the Irish horse into the top ranks of international performance. There is mention of their horses too, for without them the Irish riders would not have achieved so much.
