Warmbloods in Ireland

The arrival of the Continental stallion in Ireland has caused consternation.

Some see the development as the salvation of a floundering Irish horse industry, others believe that the imports will do untold damage to Irish breeding.

Our traditional characteristics will be lost, it is claimed, the standard of the Irish horse will deteriorate, he will be diminished on the world scene.
