New Book on Connemaras

The Modern Connernara is the title of Nicholas O'Hare's latest book in his series of publications on the Irish equine world.

His previous works include King of Diamonds, The Modem Irish Draught and the Irish Sport Horse. Again he has excelled himself in this publication on the Connemara as he draws on history, performance and his vast knowledge of both the breeding lines and the breeders themselves that are involved in what he calls The Modern Connemara. At the beginning of this 170 page book he admits to "taking pleasure" in the subject at hand.

And that he does throughout as he warms to a subject that is very close to his heart. He has bred Connemaras, he has crossed them with the thoroughbred in the search for a new development in the evolution of this breed. But above all he has studied the Connemara as no one else in Ireland has done. The results are on display in this book. In years to come this series of books will be a collectors item.
